These bones are a perfect choice for small dogs (they are too soft for larger breeds)The dogs LOVE them and they keep them busy for hours. They contain meat, fat and cartilage as well as bone so they keep the dogs attention and are extremely healthy chew options. Unlike "smooth bones" such as marrow bones (shank bones) these are abrasive and do a great job cleaning teeth. I gave these to a dog with a heavy accumulation of scale on his teeth and in bad need of a dental but two knee caps later and there was no need! Clean teeth and a happy dog!!! One warning - keep an eye on the bone, when they get to be too small, you will need to toss them. Mine are about 1/4 of their original size within 4 days or so!
These bones are a great buy at $1. Do they last for weeks? No, but they are $1. They do last for a good while and are a great size for my small dogs to chew on. Great for teething puppies!!!
My bulldogs really enjoy them, they get at least three days of bulldog joy before I look them over and decide to keep them around for a few more days or toss. Thank the Lord no problems with sharp edges, choking, etc. Jones brand is the best by far.
