I bought a pair of these approx 4 years ago when I bought a new saddle and simply COULD NOT find a pair of regular leathers that didn't live a large, painful lump beneath my knee. I gave these a try and fell in love. they are just now beginning to look a little worn. The are deceptively thin...but strong. I've had no issues with them at all. Work for me.
These stirrup leathers are very innovative in their design. Can take a time or two to get accustom to the way you pull them up and let stirrups down. Unfortunately, the repeated wear from doing this has given mine an unblemished life of only 4 months. They now have a hole through the leather where I turn the hardware to secure the stirrup in riding position. I will probably try another pair of webbers, but not this brand. It is unfortunate because this is a great price offered by Jeffers (they include the keepers at no addtional cost) and Bates is historically synonomous with quality. Will probably go with Prestige.
