I have used these clippers since 1993 and love them. They work very well for all breeds. I have american cockerspaniels, but over the years have groomed dogs that belonged to friends and always get wonderful results. I have needed to replace my #10 blade about 3 times now and always use Kool Lube while clipping to keep the heat down and blades lubed up. These clippers will do a dirty dog or a clean dog in the same amount of time. I always recommend them.
This is the first quality pair I have ever owned. Often buy from W store or pet store. I have a chow, a GSD, yorkies-all get buzzed many times a yr as I live in hot Tampa. Even winter they get clipped by me. Keeps shedding
+ odor down. Owned this for 6 yr now. Works just as good-I did need replacement blades-you must oil blades-spray while clipping with a spray oil-as it does get HOT like others have said, this will keep it cool to use-and you must clean it. I will try a more expensive one if this one ever breaks maybe with more speeds. But hey do you know how much hair a chow chow has-how quickly it grows back-how thick it is? Must have 2 speeds or more for this coat. It works great still-every time, dogs are glad for a buzz, it goes right through my long haired GSD coat also without pulling or hurting her! Best investment I have ever made.
I love these clippers, I have been using them since I started grooming in 1997. I will never use anything else, I have tried, & always end up coming back to these. Great for a professional
