Training aid can be used in 2 ways. Without the lash it can work by extending your reach allowing you to encourage your horse from a safe distance. With a lash it can encourage horses from an even greater distance such as lunging. The lash can also be used to desensitize the horse by contacting ground or by moving so it contacts the horses body or legs.
